Envision Broadway (Middle Segment between Broadway Vision Zero and Broadway Complete Street) is in City planning or preliminary engineering
Sacramento Public Works lists Envision Broadway (Middle Segment between Broadway Vision Zero and Broadway Complete Street) in the “Preliminary Engineering” phase. The Envision Broadway in Oak Park project is located on Broadway, between SR99 and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The purpose of this project is to calm traffic and improve safety for bicyclists, pedestrians, drivers, and transit users. The project will reduce vehicle lanes from 4 to 2 to calm traffic, construct new buffered bike lanes, and install pedestrian improvements such as new curb ramps, bulb-outs, pedestrian signals, and pedestrian refuge islands. This project is federally funded, and is currently in the preliminary engineering and environmental clearance phase. It will connect to the Broadway Complete Street project improvements to the west, and the Broadway Vision Zero project to the east; combining to ultimately create corridor-wide bicycle facilities between 3rd Street and Stockton Boulevard.
