How this watch works
We turn source-native public records into cautious, resident-readable updates while preserving the original evidence.
What enters the feed
Planning applications, permits, business registrations, pending liquor licenses, food-facility records, mapped Public Works capital projects, and exact project-linked public meeting items. Unrelated City Council business stays out.
How we describe certainty
Applications, registrations, and planned capital-project dates are signals, not promises. We keep importance separate from confidence and never claim that a place opened, a proposal passed, or construction started unless the evidence supports it.
How dates work
A source record date describes the field supplied by the agency. A planned date describes a schedule and may change. A Watch capture date describes when this system first retained the record. City business registrations can contain a future business start date; we label it separately, do not sort it as newly discovered, and do not treat it as a confirmed opening.
Corrections
Each correction is reviewed against the retained official evidence. Use the correction link in the main site to identify a record and explain what appears wrong.
